What’s the point?

Short and sweet: My God is for everyone so his Church should be for anyone.

I want to hit you guys overhead a few times with the purpose of this site, because misunderstanding can easily lead you to believe I stand for something I don’t. There are a lot of causes and movements that demand our attention everyday, but it’s important to remember that we’re finite beings with a limited (and increasingly shortened) attention span. We cannot fight every war all at once, so we find the one that we’re most passionate about and charge full speed ahead. This is mine.

My goal, THE goal, of this site is to create a safe space for individuals and ministries to ask questions, make mistakes in the name of learning, and confront the discrepancies between God’s character and our traditions, not in a spirit rebellion but restoration.

The other goal of this site is to create a safe space for those who identify as any letter in LGBTQ+ to ask questions about Christ, find out what God really says about the whole of who they are, and understand what it truly means to follow Him.

My own story falls within both of these aims, but this is bigger than me. My experience is a seed, but I know enough about agriculture to know that seeds are only potential. The real magic happens when you’re willing to let it go so it can grow into something greater.

My commitment to this site and this cause is to remember what I’m trying to accomplish and remain flexible in how it gets done. So I’ll be experimenting. Maybe I’ll do videos, maybe I’ll do podcasts, but I will stay true to the mission.

It’s an adventure indeed.
